i can't scan the poem, im not sure where the stressed and unstressed syllables are..i can see an iambic pentametre but im not where the irregularities are:
is it: the salmon-falls, the mackerel-crowed seas,?where does the stressed syllables go? and also the next line: "fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long???
HELP! im so confused..and ive read the poem so many times it sounds the same now

In iambic pentametre, you have 5 stressed and 5 un-stressed syllables.

Imagine saying:
"1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2"
with the stress on the '2' each time

(ie, in the second line, the stress goes on:
flesh, fowl, ....mend, sum...., long.)
